And again to Alan Gould. The Lakewoman has been shortlisted for the Colin Roderick Award. The winner will be announced in Townsville on 4 November.

Good News for Alan Gould! His novel The Lakewoman has been shortlisted for the Prime Minister's Literary Award. The Lakewoman also made it to the shortlist of titles be pitched to film producers at the annual Books at MIFF (Melbourne International Film Festival) event on 23 July.

23.8.09 — New titles by Alan Gould and Howard Goldenberg will be launched at the 2009 Melbourne Writers' Festival.

Alan Gould's new novel The Lakewoman (Australian Scholarly Press) will be launched by Les Murray on the same day in the same place at 1.00 p.m.

14.8.08 — Calidris author shortlisted at Queensland Premier Literary Awards.

Brisbane author Simon Groth's new novel None of the Other Flies Follow My Crooked Lines has been shortlisted for the Queensland Premier's Literary Awards (Emerging Author category). The winners of all categories will be announced on 16 September.

17.7.08 — Calidris author shortlisted at Books at MIFF.

Monica Geti's book The Year of Sunshine is on the shortlist of twelve titles to be pitched at Books at MIFF (Melbourne International Film Festival) on 24 July. This forum is now an annual event and provides an opportunity for agents and publishers to meet film producers and pitch titles that they believe will make good movies.
